Jai Pachai is a Senior Counsel at Wakefield Quin Limited and works in the Litigation Department where he specialises in civil and commercial litigation.
Experience
Jai has more than 35 years’ experience in this field and has handled cases through all Bermuda courts ranging from the smallest to multi-million dollar disputes.
Jai has served on numerous boards including the Bar Council Disciplinary Committee, the Discipline Committee of the Medical Council, as Chairman of the Land Valuation Tribunal and on the Board of Trustees for the Government Golf Courses.
Jai currently sits as an Assistant Justice of the Supreme Court of Bermuda.
Qualifications and Admissions
Jai was born in South Africa and educated in the United Kingdom, Central Africa and Canada. He obtained his BA, with distinction from the University of Malawi and his LLB from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. Jai was admitted to the Bar of Nova Scotia Canada in 1980 and the Bermuda Bar in 1982.
