Ben is an Associate in the Corporate Department at Wakefield Quin, having joined the firm in July 2024.
His practice focuses on corporate and M&A, advising on a broad range of corporate, commercial and finance transactions. This includes cross-border mergers and acquisitions, private equity and venture capital investments, joint ventures, corporate restructurings and general corporate advisory matters.
Clients include start-ups, owner-managed businesses, multinational corporations, financial institutions, private equity sponsors and other investment structures. Much of his work involves complex cross-border transactions and the coordination of multi-jurisdictional legal teams.
Experience
Ben has particular experience advising clients in insurance and reinsurance, one of Bermuda’s leading international sectors. His work also regularly involves companies operating in the technology, fintech and digital assets industries. In addition to transactional work, Ben advises on corporate governance, Bermuda regulatory compliance and economic substance requirements. He also has experience assisting with matters relating to insolvency and restructuring.
Before joining Wakefield Quin, Ben practised at Fox Williams LLP in London, where he advised on a wide range of UK and international corporate transactions across multiple industries.
Qualifications and Admissions
Ben holds an LLB (Hons) from the University of Exeter and completed the Legal Practice Course with distinction at Cardiff University.
He was admitted as a Solicitor of the Senior Courts of England and Wales in 2019 and is also called to the Bar in Bermuda. In addition, he remains admitted as a non-practising solicitor in England and Wales.

Ben is a member of the Bermuda FinTech Legal & Regulatory Sub-Committee, which contributes to the development of Bermuda’s digital assets and technology regulatory framework.
