Church Bay Trust Co. Ltd.(“Church Bay”) is licensed by the Bermuda Monetary Authority and regulated as a trust company pursuant to the Trusts (Regulation of Trust Business) Act 2001.
Church Bay is subject to regulation and supervision by the Bermuda Monetary Authority as a licensed Bermuda financial institution. Church Bay is required to maintain a minimum capital and has in place operating procedures which ensure complete segregation of duties and assets between trusts. This, along with the highly professional staff of Church Bay, ensures that settlors and beneficiaries of trusts can be assured of absolute security and confidentiality and services at the highest standards in the establishment, operation and administration of trusts by Church Bay.
Church Bay provides professional, confidential and cost effective trustee services to all types of Bermuda trusts including trusts established for asset protection, tax efficacy, commercial and corporate structures and charity.
The services offered by Church Bay include:
• Establishment of trusts, including discretionary trusts, purpose trusts, fixed interest trusts, insurance trusts, employee benefit trusts and pension trusts and charitable trusts. Daily administration of trusts including liaison with settlers, beneficiaries and protectors receiving additional assets to trust and distributions from trust fund
• Banking on behalf of trusts, including opening and operating accounts with banks throughout the world and operating and transacting on such accounts
• Opening and operating investment and brokerage accounts on behalf of trusts, including instructing the execution of trades in securities in all jurisdictions
• Appointment of investment advisors – although Church Bay does not employ qualified investment advisory staff, where a trust requires investment advisory services we work with the settlors of any trust to identify a suitable investment advisor or manager and the terms of their engagement
• Incorporating and administering companies in Bermuda or other jurisdictions for the purpose of holding trust assets
• Trust accounting is undertaken by the chief financial officer of Church Bay who is a chartered accountant. Trust accounts are prepared and produced annually, or more frequently if requested by a client or settlor
