Simon Benedek Simon Benedek is a Consultant for the corporate and finance department having previously worked as a Senior Counsel for the department until July 2011 and has been with Wakefield Quin Limited since September 2008. Simon practices in the areas of corporate and finance law specialising in all aspects of  finance, project and property finance and general banking. He also has expertise in joint ventures and regularly acts for banks, hedge funds, developers and private equity investors advising them on domestic and international transactions. Prior to joining Wakefield Quin Limited, Simon was a partner of an international law firm practising in Budapest. He was also counsel at Appleby from 2005 to 2007. Simon qualified as a solicitor in England and Wales in 1996 and worked in the City of London for many years before moving to Bermuda in 2005. Simon was admitted to the Bermuda bar in 2006 and the BVI bar in 2005. Simon  was educated at Liverpool University where he received his LLB (Hons) in 1993, University College, London where he received his LLM in 1999  and the Chester College of Law.
